Barry Carr has spent his career in the advanced transportation world; working with major utilities, governments and fleets to develop clean transportation programs; including: EVs / EV charging, natural gas, renewable natural gas, propane, and hydrogen. For the last 20 years, Barry has served as the Director for Clean Communities of CNY, the US DOE’s Clean Cities and Communities Coalition housed at the Syracuse Center of Excellence. In this role, he advises both public and private groups on transportation decarbonization and serves as a project manager for state and federally funded clean transportation projects. Barry is on the Federal and State Government Advocacy Committees for the Transport Project; the Avangrid Community Advisory Board, the Transportation Energy Partners board, and is and advisor to the NYS Clean Transportation Prize. He received a lifetime acheivement award from the Transport Project in 2015; and in 2017 was awarded the Benjamin Watson Service award, along with a Hall of Fame Award by the US Department of Energy’s Clean Cities and Communities program. Barry is an advisory board member to the NJ Clean Cities, Empire Clean Cities, Clean Communities of Western NY, Greater New Haven Clean Cities, and the Capital Clean Cities, of Hartford, CT. Barry is located in Central NY.
Chris Straile has been a practicing green building consultant for 10+ years. Chris consults with architects, developers and engineers on energy efficient design strategies. He also performs on-site verification for new construction and renovations for programs such as ENERGY STAR®, Passive House and LEED® for Homes. He is Sustainable Comfort’s lead Phius Verifier including on Central New York’s first affordable passive house project.
Whitney is National Grid’s Lead Program Manager for Electric Vehicles New York. In this role, she oversees the Western NY implementation of National Grid’s EV Charging Make-Ready Program, delivering $154 M in business customer incentives to install 9,000 charging plugs across upstate NY by YE 2025. She also serves as chair of the board of directors for Western New York’s Sustainable Business Roundtable and is a board member for the WNY Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Originally from Michigan, Whitney brings 18 years of energy program administration, securing and directing more than $100 M dollars in grants to advance affordability. She managed the Salvation Army’s statewide heating assistance programs from 2006-2011 while also leading the Coalition to Keep Michigan Warm, then joining Consumers Energy in 2011 to direct the company’s low-income customer assistance strategy within its Regulatory and Customer organizations.
Now at National Grid, she remains on mission, bridging our clean transportation future with opportunities for NY’s business community to activate on corporate sustainability and lead the charge to tomorrow.

Greg Tyler has a diverse background in Computer and Information Technology, having worked for decades as a Technician, Service Manager, Project Manager, and Professor in Retail, Corporate, and Higher Education environments. Greg also has a passion for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and has owned a variety of EVs since 2009. During that time he has participated in or managed dozens of EV shows and events.
